The Victorian house in Beacon, NY was Phyllis’ primary residence for 6 years. She and her husband restored and beautified, but this was not a complete renovation project, just some cosmetic surgery.

What we did:
Skimcoated walls.
Added Bradbury wallpaper border.
Added and painted salvaged ceiling medallion.
Restored wood pocket doors.
Created radiator cover out of antique shutters.
Found reproduction light fixture to match similar in the rear parlor.

Chase cracked plaster and skimcoat.
Wood door and molding restoration.
Restoration of wood mantel.
New ceiling (cheater sheetrock-sorry)
Painting. All while protecting existing wallpaper border.

Dining Room

What we did:
Take up cat urine stained floors down to subfloor. Seal in odors on joists where urine had soaked through.
Install new plywood subfloor and pre-finished tongue and groove oak.
Cut away at walls with cat urine. Patch as necessary
Repair doors and molding with cat damage.
Kitchen

What we did:
Box in exposed cast iron drain.
Stripped wall paper.
Installed new sheetrock ceiling and light fixture. The original fixture was painted pink and used in bedroom.
Installed new tiles.
Cabinet painting.
New butcher block counter top.
