$100k: Bank owned 4 family

What drew me to this house originally was the pink. But it looks like it’s been painted in Photoshop, no? Anyway, cool brick home for $100k. No interior shots leads me to believe this needs a tad TLC.

$345k: Detailed Victorian

The white exterior, perhaps vinyl siding isn’t thrilling me on this property. The interior shots tell another story though. Great detail and nice restoration work. Kudos to these folks!

$429,500: Former church

FYI, It’s my dream to convert a church. Also, barns, firehouses or any BIG OLD places. But back to the church….this one looks like a keeper! Who’s buying? I’ll do the work. And live there. All you need to do is put up the money. Not a bad deal, no?

Wow! I’m surprised by how high some of these prices are. Sucha huge disparity between the ones that haven’ been renovated (um like 200 thou!) andthe ones that have. It just goes to show that major deals can be had if you are willing to look past stuff like barfy siding. Boy did hudson throw itself a grody siding party somewhere between 1960 and 1979 both inside and out. But the good news is that it often preserved the clapboard from the elements. Anyway, this makes me feel great about my property value. And who doesnt love that?

Yeah, some of the smaller, cheaper homes were just eh. I wanted to give a range. Like Beacon…there are plenty of homes that need work, but they aren’t exciting enough. I think the church is a bargain considering the space! I mean, who wouldn’t want to convert a church? If you went in with 4 people, that’s $100k apiece getting 2000 sq ft each. Not that it should be broken up into apartments, but I’m just throwing suggestions out.
Or it would make a great art gallery, performance space, etc…
