My husband and I live in Williamsburg and couldn’t begin to afford these new developments (an average of four per block btw) but they all look way way too crappy for people who do have the cash. I will say that the graffiti you mention on the park walls is not an indication of the neighborhood vibe – it could not be safer. But I still wonder who would want to live “Poolside” anyway. In the summer there’s a concert every weekend and hundreds of people camp out all over the sidewalk (drinking and woo-hooing). Yep – I think it would be a young parents nightmare.
