Crap, you mean we actually have to DO this project now that we posted it? I have a feeling it's just going to be a short term solution for now. Patching and painting. I really want to make this kitchen fabulous-not a rush job. Too bad all I ever do in here is go to the fridge and microwave!

I don't know what the previous owner was thinking here in terms of wallpaper. She bought the house in the 80's. I'll bet this was one of the first things she did when she didn't have $ and then as she started to earn more and her taste developed, she started going for things like the Bradbury borders. Which I adore!

Pagoda-ish bookshelf was picked up at a yard sale. It was a bunch o' peeling white paint.

I don't think there's anything I can do with that chandelier to make it my taste, but I'll try to get something cool out of it for someone else to love.

All pets came down to Bed Stuy with us for the major reno, when we lived there full time for 7ish months. Now that we go back and forth, we just take the dogs. We have a pet sitter come in to check on the cats. Gotta make better friends with our neighbors.

Yay! I'm so excited to watch this project. Funny, when I clicked onto your blog and saw the wallpaper & border my first thought was "hmm, she doesn't seem like a floral wallpaper AND border kind of person". LOL

I love pagoda-ish bookshelf.

I have the same chandeliers in my living/dining room at the moment. I want to take sledgehammer to mine.

I have to ask, do the cats travel back & forth with you? Your car must sound like a zoo! LOL
