You saw the kitchen counter top a few weeks ago. Now the entire kitchenette is finished! Almost. Since we don’t live in Brooklyn full time and we don’t cook, there’s no need for a real kitchen. A microwave, toaster and electric kettle will suffice. Nope, not even those plug in burners. We have menus. This cabinet, made from an antique sideboard, is pretty much the kitchen. We’ll probably build some shelves above the mini fridge and maybe try for more storage on each side, but what you’re looking at is the “work station”. This is what took us about 3 years to complete (well, the whole apartment), but no more washing dishes in the bathroom sink! Weezy, we’re movin’ on up!

I love your little work station! Is that really it? I’m such a messy cook…maybe this would force me to work with my boundaries (physically AND mentally).
I am suddenly wanting a pressed tin backsplash, too.

That’s really it! We don’t live down there full time, but still, it’s bigger than some Manhattan kitchen I’ve seen.
Seriously, we don’t cook.

That is so incredibly cute. When I win Lotto (could happen!), I’m hiring you to help me decorate my bungalow-style upstate home. Yes, my new home is so far imaginary, but some day!

Ok, everyone is invited over for Saraghina pizza and fine wine served in plastic cups!
Judy, congratulations on your new imaginary home. Now is the time to pick a real one up for cheap!
