The "uninformed" cops started telling people to go home and turning cars around that were coming into the parking lot - they said that the concert was cancelled. The concert was NOT cancelled and REM went on stage and rocked the house. If we had listened to the cops, we would have been shit-out-of-luck on the tickets cause you can bet your ass Jones Beach/Ticketmaster wouldn't have refunded even though the cops told people it was cxld...the verbiage on concert tickets is over the top in the favor of the venue/promoter.
